Nails have really stepped up their game to becoming a bona-fide fashion accessory. As you could see at this years Emmys, no outfit was complete without the perfect shade of polish (or nail art, in Zooey Deschanel’s case). P.S. Did I mention they even had a “mani-cam” on the red carpet this year? Yup, celebs would come by and show off their perfectly polished fingers by actually “walking” their nails down their very own red carpet.

- + Kat Dennings dark dark dark (almost black) shade of purple was the perfecting pairing with her burnt orangish red gown.
- + Sarah Hyland spiced up her basic grey nails with a silver french tip at the top…. you can see it if you look very closely!!
+ Zooey Deschanel really caused a Twitter stir when people got sight of her adorable Emmy themed nail art! She never seems to let us down when it comes to her nails (remember the tuxedo nail art she did a while back)? Amazing!
