Top Coat
Bobby Pin
Piece of Paper
Step one: Paint your entire nail bed with Julep Popova. Make sure it is completely dry before dotting!
Step two: Take Gunta and dab a generous amount on a piece of scrap paper and then take your bobby pin and spread it apart just a little bit so you can use the end with the tiny ball on it.
Step three: Stick your bobby pin in using the side with the ball and make tiny dots in whatever design you wish on your nail. I chose to do a straight line.
Step four: Seal the deal with a top coat.
About Love for Lacquer
Jess, the author of Love for Lacquer, began blogging a little over a year ago. “ I was home all day taking care of my son and thought it would be a fun way to interact with other polish lovers… My husband was sick of me talking about polish & cosmetics all day – I knew there had to be other ladies out there who had the same love!” So while she still may be a novice at nail art, she now owns over 1,800 nail polishes!
After her one year blogging anniversary, Jess has two tips she adheres to religiously. One is to moisturize both your hands and cuticles, “I use cuticle oil every single day and always have one in my purse for on the go!” And the other, about juggling her blog and being a mom, “ I always tell my mommy friends you HAVE to make time for yourself. If you don’t, you’ll go crazy! Just getting away for an hour while you go get a manicure or a pedicure really helps you feel refreshed. I have a very supportive husband who is happy to take over for that short time and let me get away for a bit. If mommy is happy, everyone is happy! “
Jess’s Julep Maven Style Profile is Boho Glam.
