As the weather gets warmer, many of us are swapping are skinny jeans for mini skirts & daisy dukes, but with all those months being covered up, are you legs ready to face the light of day? Here are some quick & easy tips that will help make sure your legs are ready to hit the beach!
Exfoliate: Chances are, over the winter months, your legs have been lacking proper care. Start off getting them into tiptop shape by giving them a good exfoliation. Get rid of any dry flaky skin & prep your skin with a quality exfoliation or you can always try making your own (great exfoliation recipe found here).
Tan: Legs are hard to get tan in the sun, and I am by no means an advocate of tanning beds, yet there are other simple ways to tan your lovely legs. I personally am addicted to Sally Hansen’s Airbrush Spray for legs, as it is streak free and always leaves my legs looking tanned & healthy within minutes!
Shape Up: Toning your legs is a must within the months leading up to summer, but that doesn’t mean you need to pay a fortune for a gym membership. Try some leg workouts at home while you are watching TV, and you will quickly notice a change. The lean legs pyramid (seen below) is one of my favorite at home workouts, I do it once a day and within a couple weeks my legs were already looking leaner!
Moisturize: Dry skin can not only be annoying, but it is also unsightly. Moisturizing daily will keep your skin looking healthy, and youthful! I use Jergens Natural Glow Daily Firming moisturizer for three reasons: first of all it keeps my legs smooth and silky, secondly it helps me gradually build & keep my tan, and lastly, it firms my skin- making sure that cellulite doesn’t form!
Take Vitamin-C: Taking Vitamin C daily is important for your overall health, but also has a positive effect on the look of your legs as well. Vitamin C helps improve circulation and blood flow, which will in turn prevent any unattractive varicose veins.
