When I think overalls, I always think of my best friend in the first grade who couldn’t get enough of the things. I was constantly so jealous that she had so many pairs of overalls, and I had none! Eventually my parents decided to get me a pair and I don’t think I ever took them off. They were denim printed with huge flowers on them—and I was obsessed—until they went out of style & I got teased.
I am sure some of you can probably related with my nostalgic story of overalls, which is why what I am about to tell you may either be extremely exciting for you—or extremely terrifying. Overalls are back in style!
So, my question for you is this: Would you go back in time and rock overalls again, or is this a fashion trend you are happy to leave in the past?
- + If you’re going to go out and get a pair of overalls, be sure to get a pair that fits well. Joe’s Jeans makes an adorable pair of short overalls that would be perfect for the summer time.
- + The overalls should be the focus of your outfit, so keep it simple by wearing a plain white tank top underneath.
- + Accessories are key. Pair a fun cross body bag with your outfit for an added beachy touch and a cute pair of lace up sneakers (channeling more of your inner kiddo). To top it off, try some round lens sunglasses to protect your eyes from the summer sun.
- + Last, but certainly not least, you are going to need some jewelry! Since this outfit is so reminiscent of our childhood, it’d only be appropriate to wear a bevy of friendship bracelets. For the neck, keep it simple with a long gold chain necklace.

Overalls are simply stunning! It has been far too long that they were out of syle. They are so comfortable and the look is just fantastic. I totally love overalls and wear them whenever I can. I am always on the lookout for a new pair!
