No More Rainboot Woes

I think I can speak for every Seattleite when I say I wish there was a remedy for footwear that can resist our seemingly too frequent rainy day weather, without having to sacrifice wearing a perfectly cute outfit.

When leather boots won’t do since we’re afraid to ruin them in the water, flats won’t keep us dry enough, and heels- well, that’s pretty self explanatory as to why they won’t work in the rain- why not try wearing a pair of trendy rainboots? Who said rainboots have to be unfashionable, dorky, and childlike? In fact, rainboots have become a very practical and, believe it or not, a fashion accessory (gasp!) in many women’s wardrobes.

Rainboots are now available in a wide assortment of bright and bold or subtle and neutral colors, which make them perfect for pairing and accessorizing any outfit. For a pop of color and excitement, try wearing rainboots in a complimentary color to that of your outfit like green rainboots with a blue pea coat or red boots with a purple jacket. If you’re looking for practical footwear that won’t draw too much attention, choose a neutral color that will blend in to your pant leg color such as black rainboots with black leggings.

Rainboots can truly add a pleasant element of surprise and character to an otherwise everyday outfit- and needless to say, they’re super comfortable and will keep your feet protected from the harsh Seattle rain!

My favorite brands: Hunter, Sperry Top-Sider, Target, Le Chameau
