New Versatile 2012 Sseko Sandals

Being a new Seattlite, by way of Maui, I’ve been dying to get my puppies into some stunning sandals again. It really doesn’t rain all that much here, right? Wrong.

But since it’s officially summer here in the Emerald City—and before it rains again—here is my pick for the hottest summer sandal. The best thing about Sseko (pronounced SAY-KO) Design Sandals are the 13, yes THIRTEEN, different ways to tie your sandals—and the inspiring story behind Sseko. “Sseko Designs uses fashion to provide employment and scholarship opportunities to women purusing their dreams and overcoming poverty.” To read more about the Sseko story, click here.

Here are my top three favorite designs:

1. Twisted Gladiator. The Gladiator style is hot for summer. Definitely not your average, but easy to tie and perfect for the summer barbecue or brunch.

2. Bohannon’s Best. The simplicity yet elegance of Bohannon’s will have you standing out among the casual flip flops. This one was the easiest to tie.

3.  Braided Thong. My favorite! At first glance it looks like your average sandal. A closer look, will reveal the chic detail and your friends will be knocking down your door for instructions on how to tie this one.

With a great price of $39.00, you can find these beauties at Dream Boutique in the funky, Fremont neighborhood. You can even purchase different colored straps. Each pair comes with a how-to card, complete with a QR code sending you straight to a tutorial video on each of the 13 different designs—so you can re-style your sandals whenever your fashion-forward heart desires.

Sseko says, every sandal has its story. What will your Sseko story be?

Great entry! I love your style. You can add to your admiration for Audrey Hepburn that you were named after her movie “Sabrina”. Love, love, love.
