Nail of the Day: It’s all about the Moon

Julep Nail of the Day: Today it’s all about the crescent moon.

This look is the perfect subtle way to add color to your mani and easy to do. For those of you who are experts this look can be achieved by free hand. Apply your base color, give time to dry and then apply your top color. I used Michelle and then applied Megan on top. Use an orangewood stick to clean up, apply topcoat and enjoy!

For those of you who don’t feel comfortable free handing this look, it can also be done with tape or hole punch reinforcers. If you are going this route just reverse the order above. First apply Megan (top color) and give a lot of time to dry, by a lot of time I mean a good 20-30 minutes. Then position your tape or hole punch reinforcement to show just the right amount of nail. This is where you decide if you want the “crescent moon” or “half moon” look. Remove the tape, apply topcoat to seal your design and you are done!
