Some people match their eyeshadow to their tops, some match their nails to their earrings…the possibilities for clothing and accessory coordination are endless. Now you can match your nails to your eyeshadow – literally!

Everyone has a stash of old eyeshadow palettes that they bought for some reason that made sense at the time – they were on sale near the register, you were going to a costume party and that one color in the huge palette was perfect…now you can feel like you had a reason to hold onto them!
.) Prep your nails with Julep’s basecoat or Nail Therapy.
.) Choose your eyeshadow colors – I had an old Maybelline palette with jewel-toned colors, and I chose to model the green, blue, purple and pink.
.) Using an orangewood stick, scrape a small amount onto a paper plate. It really doesn’t take much eyeshadow to make this polish – you can continue using it for its original purpose afterwards!
.) Pour a very small amount of Julep Topcoat into the eyeshadow dust. You can add more once you start mixing and can determine the consistency.
.) Mix well with an orangewood stick – make sure there aren’t any lumps.
.) Use the topcoat brush to paint your nails with the eyeshadow mixture. I used two coats of each color and the coverage turned out great!
.) Clean your topcoatbrush by swirling it in nail polish remover and wiping with a paper towel a few times.
.) Add a layer of topcoat to make the eyeshadow polish even shinier. It will still have a slightly bumpy texture, and does take a little longer to dry, so make sure you start this manicure well before your main getting-ready routine!
