How To: Vintage Roses

What you will need:

4-5 Colors (we used Alicia, Amy, Blake, Leah and Natasha)

1 Dotting Tool

1 Orangewood Stick

STEP 1: Create your canvas, base coat and 2 coats of your base color.

STEP 2: With your dotting tool, create the base color of your roses. Lighter color is best.

STEP 3: For the look of petals, using darker contrasting color and paint almost completely around your rose base (open on 2 sides). You can create an inner line that connects to the outer line to create the layers.  A dot in the center to finish.

STEP 4: Still using an orange stick, paint small triangle shapes for leaves.

(OPTIONAL) STEP 5: For extra detail, create a small dot pattern in any holes.  I did 3 small dots clustered together in a triangle shape.

STEP 6: Finish with top coat and enjoy.

TIPS and TRICKS: When doing nail art with many layers, it is best to let each layer dry completely before the next step. I like to paint while watching my favorite primetime show, and paint during the commercial break.
