I am a huge fan of glitter and love to add it as an accent nail or dip the the tips of a freshly painted mani in loose glitter. It looks great for a few days but when it comes to removing it can be quite a nightmare! I have the perfect trick for all of you that think picking the glitter off is the best way. Follow these steps and you will be glitter free in less than 20 min!
What you will need: Small strip of foil, nail poilish remover (acetone based if you have it) and cotton pads.
Step 1: Soak your cotton pad in remover & place in the middle of foil.
Step 2: Wrap your finger with the foil and cotton pad, making sure that your nail is fully covered by the cotton pad.
Step 3: Wait 5 minutes and twist the foil off.
I recommend that you do one hand at a time as it can get quite difficult to maneuver when all 5 of your fingers are wrapped in foil. Do you have another trick? Leave us a comment.

i have an old polish I don’t like that I keep around for glitter removal. I throw on a quick coat of the polish over my glitter nails and let is set for about 2 minutes, then take a cotton pad soaked with acetone and slowly, with pressure, wipe the whole mess off. Somehow it loosens the polish and glitter underneath and it rubs off.

Great tip, I love the foil because it contains the mess but this sounds quicker!

i just learned of these Gel-Off tips http://pinterest.com/pin/26669822763086334/ to use in place of foil. my hope is that they are less messy and wasteful than the foil, which i find a bit annoying. can’t wait to give them a try.
