Get the Perfect Bun… with a Sock

I am the queen of bad hair days, and am always on the search for a quick & easy fix. I have heard rumors about this “sock bun” phenomenon, and decided to give it a try for myself. I chose to test it out on a particularly bad hair day, and was over the moon with the results. Whether you refer to it as the blogger bun, the ballet bun, or the fun bun- this is an easy hair trick that will give you the full & perfect bun you’ve always dreamed of. diy sock bun

Step 1: Using a new (or atleast clean) ankle sock, cut off the toes of the sock.

Step 2 & 3: Roll your sock from the inside out so that it ends up looking kind of like a donut.

Step 4: Put your hair in a high ponytail.

Step 5: Holding your pony tail up high, put the tip of your hair through the center of your donut.

Step 6 & 7: Flip the tip of your pony tail over one side of the sock and roll downwards with the sock.

Step 8: Tuck in any loose ends into the underside of the sock and spread your hair out around the sock to cover any fabric that may still be showing.

One more thing… I hear that if you sleep with a sock bun in, you will wake up with some pretty fabulous curls. Give it a try & let me know how it turns out!
