Get the Look: Fourth of July Fashion Inspiration

It’s that time of year again—the time where we all gather around the BBQ with our friends and family to celebrate one of my most favorite holidays: the 4th of July!! Whether you are at the beach soaking up the sun, or having a backyard bash, you are going to want to be the best dressed person in attendance, right? Well, let’s just make it clear right now, there is a fine line between being fashionably festive versus over the top and obnoxious, and it is a line we do NOT want to cross.

Luckily for all of us, American flag’s are all the rage in the world of fashion, and when done right—they can make for a fabulously festive look. Here are some tips to make sure your flag fashion is nothing less than perfect.

+ Keep it simple. No need to over do it with an American flag top, shorts, headband and purse. If you want to wear a flag, limit it to one piece.

+ Accessorize with red, white, and blue! A great look would be to pair a simple white dress with a fabulous pair of flag platforms or even a fun printed turband.

+ Avoid the American flag bikini. I think this can often be a bit on the tacky side. Instead mix & match a white top with a blue or red bottom. It is understated, yet still patriotic!
