Fashion Focus: All About the Tie

ties for women

Androgyny is all the rage in the world of fashion, and has been for a while now (remember the last time we raided our bf’s closets??). Now we have another coveted item we all are going to want to snag from our male counterparts wardrobe, and that is the hottest accessory of the moment- the tie. Bow tie, skinny tie, necklace tie, grosgrain bow, blouse-with-attached-tie- whichever way you wear it, you will be sure to turn heads of fashion lovers everywhere!

We are loving this androgynous yet chic fashion accessory for Fall 2012, what about you?

ways to rock a tie

+ If you are new to the world of wearing ties, a good way to start is with a blouse that has a tie attached. It is fun and edgy, yet not too “out there”. Orange tie top found here, white blouse with black tie top found here.

+ Clip on bows may seem a little “Grandpa-ish”, yet when adorned with edgy hardware.. they are far from old timey. Black leather bow with chain found here, brown leather bow with spikes found here.

+ For a more “girly” bow look, we love this floral print bow tie necklace… not only is the print adorable, but it is versatile too! Just think of all the ways you can wear this fab piece.

+ Skinny ties look great with a pair of boyfriend jeans & a simple white button up blouse. It is a laid back, yet surprisingly chic, look. Currently we are loving the adorable gold and black leather necktie necklace seen above… just a bit obsessed!
