Beauty School: How to Shape Your Brows

Well groomed eyebrows are one of the quickest and easiest ways to give your face the mini makeover you’ve been looking for. Perfectly shaped brows are so important as they will help create symmetry in your face, frame your eyes, and even help camouflage your not-so-favorite features (which is always a plus!).

  • Here are some handy tips to help you perfectly shape your brows!
  • + To get started you most importantly want to know what your face shape is, this will help you determine which brows are best for you.
  • + Long or oval faces can handle a flatter brow; while heart shaped, round, or square faces need an arch in their brow. Keep that in mind before you start plucking away.

  • + Trim your brows first by brushing them in an upward direction and trim your brows so they are straight. Brush them back down.
  • + Using a pencil or a pen hold it up to the three places seen to the left and use an eye liner pencil to mark these three spots.
  • + Next, using a quality pair of tweezers, pluck any stray hairs outside of your natural brow shape.
  • + Now refer to the dots and tweeze the hairs from a to b and the hairs from b to c. You most likely will want an arch to start at point b and then taper down meeting at point c.
  • + The space between your brows should be equal to the space between your eyes.
  • + Be sure to tweeze your hairs in the direction they grow and try to grab one hair at a time to avoid any mistakes.
  • + Tweeze the top & bottom of your brows. People often say to avoid plucking the top of your brows- but that is a myth. You want the top of your brows to be straight as well as the bottom, just be careful not to pull too many cause then you will have a real brow problem!
  • + Once you’ve perfected your brows, apply some aloe to clear up any redness.
