3 Ways to Wear Pastel This Summer

If you have opened a fashion magazine lately, or have even been window shopping at your local mall, chances are you have seen that pastels are going to be a huge fashion trend for summer 2012. Now that you’ve seen it, you may be looking for a little inspiration in regards to how you should wear these pretty shades this summer. These hues can often be tough because, if done incorrectly, they can end up washing you out… which is a big no-no. Here are some tips, tricks, and inspiration on how to rock a variety of pastel shades! Which color combination is your favorite?  pastel fashion

Tip 1: Try pairing different shades of a hue together, For example, if you are wearing a light peach top, try incorporating a garment that is a shade darker (yet still peach colored)! By doing this you will be adding more dimension to your look, rather than just having the peach top blend right into your skin!

Tip 2: Baby yellow is not only one of my favorite hues to rock, but also the most difficult. What I like to do when wearing this shade is to pair it with grey. For some reason these two colors really compliment each other while providing a great contrast of colors. pastel fashion

Tip 3: Last but not least, baby pink & mint! These colors are probably the most fun & easiest to wear as they look great alone, together, or paired with a variety of other colors. For example, a splash of brown always looks fabulous with light pink!
